Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these adventures appropriate for?

People and dogs who are reasonably fit and enjoy being outside with other people and dogs.

How far do we hike?

It depends on the adventure. Walks & hikes vary in length and may be from 3-8 miles. Each description will include information on the level of difficulty. Most adventures are easy to moderately difficult. Easy means that there is little elevation gain with moderately difficult adventures including some elevation gain with uphills lasting 10 minutes or longer.

What if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?

Please leave your dog at home. A dog that isn't comfortable with other dogs is only going to be stressed out and not have any fun. There are solo adventures in the area you can explore on your own.

My dog is afraid of people, can she come?

It depends on the level of fear. Remember that you want every experience a scared dog has with people to be a positive one. If being outside around people does not put your dog over its comfort threshold then talk to us about joining us.

How well-trained does my dog need to be?

Dogs should only be allowed off-leash if they have a reliable recall.

What should I wear or bring?

Each adventure will include a suggested clothing and equipment list.

Where do we meet?

Most often we meet at the trail head. Directions will be provided.

What if my dog and I have never done any of the activities being offered?
