Active Educational Travel
for School Groups
Explorations in Travel, Inc. designs active, educational student travel programs for groups throughout the year. We work with teachers to design itineraries that will meet their specific educational goals. All of our programs provide hands-on experience and introductions to new environments, cultures and languages.
Our programs are unique in format and design. Each group receives the personal attention of our administrative staff and a professional leader from Explorations in Travel accompanies them throughout their program. Educators looking for high quality, environmentally and culturally focused travel for students will find that our programs will go beyond their expectations for student travel.
Groups have the opportunity to:
- Work on a service project in a rain forest
- Whitewater raft
- Meet with students from a local school
- Look into the crater of a volcano
- Crawl through a cave
- Kayak in a bioluminescent bay
- Practice a language
- Learn about an area's history from local historians
- Snorkel at coral reefs
- Get up early to look for monkeys and sloths
- Hike in a cloud forest at night
- Learn about an area's current environmental concerns
- Sleep in the Grand Canyon
