Summer in Vermont is addicting! I find it difficult to venture too far from home, loath to miss one day of sultry weather knowing that the wood we're stacking is for the cold weather sure to come. Thunderstorms light up the evening skies and the crashes startle us all, but the show is worth it. While my heart might be here in Vermont my head is busy thinking about trips for fall and winter.
Our trips are designed to invigorate your mind and body, and make it comfortable and easy for you to join us. Once you make the first step of signing up for a trip you'll find easy sailing from there on, and when you return from a trip you'll be planning for the next one. Our all-expenses-included pricing helps you know how much you'll be spending and we make great efforts to ensure you get great value for your money. Itineraries include destinations that are unique and off the beaten track while at the same time we are sure to include popular highlights of the area. Laughter and dessert are also included!
There are still wonders to marvel at and new scents, sounds and sights to experience. Don't let more time slip away before joining us somewhere in the world!

Need A Bed? Settle For A Couch?
Social networking continues to grow on the web. There are numerous organizations that help connect people around the world, and in many cases you can take that relationship a step further by showing up on someone's doorstep and getting a bed for the night. Not without its drawbacks The Couch Surfing Project connects travelers with couches worldwide. There is no oversight of this group so you can never be sure who exactly you'll end up finding when you arrive.
Using Those Points
Perhaps one of the most frustrating things about mileage reward points is that they are so darn hard to take advantage of. There are limited seats available on flights that can be purchased using reward points and so many black-out dates that you need a flashlight to find dates you can use your points for.
Websites continue to be created to help you use those points for something other than travel. Check the airline's own site to find out how to gift those miles to a charity that uses them to provide travel for families that need to fly to hospitals. Other sites will let you exchange your points for magazines and other products. Be on the look-out for the fees that you will incur for any transaction you make.
Points.com will let you trade miles with other travelers (your American Airlines points for my Delta points).
LoyaltyMatch lets you trade your points for products with other members.
ExpertFlyer helps you sort through the maze of free for points flights.
Hot Flashes & Memory Loss
Thank goodness scientists have confirmed what women for centuries have known, menopause can keep us up at night, and along with hot flashes we tend to be more forgetful. Not only that but women have more hot flashes than they think (or is it 'remember'?).

Getting Fit After 40 Swimmer Dana Torres is either an inspiration or makes you feel guilty when you grab that second donut, but either way she's shown that losing muscle and fitness is not a given as you age. The thing is that it takes time and effort to maintain, and unless it's your job, it's difficult for most humans to fit in the workouts, massages, stretching, etc., that Dana has as she prepares for the Olympics. But don't let that put you off! Adding any new physical activities (assuming it's been ok'd by a doctor) to your lifestyle will help keep you moving and feeling fit as you age.
