Message From Debbie
Spring has arrived in New England as glorious as always. I've got a male cardinal attacking the side mirrors on my car and my neighbors had a moose trample their flower garden, a task usually left to my dogs. The feeder is up and waiting for the first arrival of the ruby throated hummingbird, the one species with the gumption to come this far north.
It's time to pack up the sweaters and grab the boating and hiking gear for our upcoming adventures. If it's about time you had yourself a break be sure to check out all of our adventures on our website!

Shenandoah National Park
Shenandoah National Park has over 500 miles of trails, including 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Some trails lead to a waterfall or viewpoint or penetrate deep into the forest and wilderness. We will hike along a section of the AT as we go from lodge to lodge in the park. August 21-25
Airlines Deal With 'Seat Infringement
United Airlines on April 15 announced it will require passengers who do not fit within one seat to buy another when no alternative can be arranged.
And Euro-discounter Ryanair is advancing the idea of a fat tax, which suggests to many observers the company may price its tickets based on body mass.
In 2002, Southwest began making large passengers buy two seats when there were no open seats on a flight.
What do you think about it?

Manatees & More!
There is nothing quite like looking into the eyes of a creature like a manatee. Crystal River is a breeding ground for West Indian Manatees. In the winter months they come inland in search of the warmer water in the bays for breeding, and Crystal River is fed by more than thirty natural springs which keep the water at a constant 72 degrees. You'll learn about these gentle giants as you swim among them. What a thrill that will be!
December 19-23, 2009
An added benefit to this trip is that you can escape from the pre-holiday madness!
